The body of Riley Strain, a missing Missouri college student, has been found in a Nashville river following a two-week search. The Metro Nashville Police recovered Strain’s body from the Cumberland River in West Nashville around 7:30 a.m. on Friday. At this time, there are no indications of foul play, and an autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.
Last Sightings and Search Efforts
Riley Strain was last seen on March 8 after leaving Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Bar in downtown Nashville. Surveillance footage captured him crossing the street from the bar and briefly interacting with police. His fraternity brothers reported him missing the following day.
Despite extensive search efforts, Strain’s whereabouts remained unknown until March 16, when his bank card was discovered along the riverbank. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and death is still ongoing, with further updates expected.
