David passed away at his home in White Pine, Tennessee, on Friday, November 15. While the cause of death has not been disclosed, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. He made significant contributions to various projects in Tennessee, including in Knoxville, Johnson City, and Kingsport. Another brother, Floyd, passed away in December 2018 at the age of 61. In reflecting on Randy’s death, Dolly Parton spoke of the strength and faith of the family, saying, “Though we know dad is in a better place than we are right now, the family and I are still grieving his passing.”
