Growing hair and styling it has become a part of Alia’s life and she even makes a living from it. For the past 20 years, she has dedicated herself to beautiful hair, inspired by the charming long-haired characters in her favorite fairy tales.
On her website, Alia explains her dream to explore the world and discover other long-haired beauties. She believes that hair is a work of art and wants to share its incredible beauty with the world.
Maintaining this type of hair is not an easy task. Alia spends an hour a day washing and drying her hair. When she goes out, she carries a day bag filled with 22 kilograms of liquids, including shampoo, conditioner and various hair accessories. She also works out using a yoga mat to keep her brunette beauty healthy and strong.
Alia’s husband, Ivan Balaban, loves her beautiful hair, but takes special care to keep it intact. He had a habit of giving her a lot of space, like she was leaning against the wall. Moreover, he treats her hair with great respect, he even talks to her pigtails, sometimes asking her to move them a little. Managing very long hair can be difficult. Alia recalled an incident in her childhood when someone accidentally stuck gum on her hair and she had trouble cutting off part of her hair to remove it. Although Aaliyah holds the title of “The Real Rapunzel,” she does not hold the record for the longest hair. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, this distinction belongs to the Chinese Xi Qiuping, whose hair does not exceed 5.5 meters in length.
