Vânia passed away at Moinhos de Vento Hospital on January 28, 2024, after a battle with cancer. She was a dedicated bank teller who raised her six children in a middle-income household in Horizontina, a town in southern Brazil.
Vânia instilled in her children the importance of understanding the value of money, ensuring they only received material gifts on special occasions like birthdays.
