In 1983, 24-year-old Patricia Clarke had a strong intuition that her unborn child would be large. With a family history of big babies, she wasn’t entirely surprised when her son, Kevin Robert Clark, was born weighing over 16 pounds. His remarkable size made him the largest infant ever born at Community Memorial Hospital and possibly in all of New Jersey at that time.
A Record-Breaking Beginning
Despite his extraordinary birth weight, Kevin was perfectly healthy. However, his size posed unique challenges—he couldn’t fit into a standard-sized cot and required specially made baby clothes. His arrival soon became a national sensation, earning him appearances on shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America.”
Growing Up Tall: Kevin’s Incredible Growth Journey
Kevin’s growth didn’t slow down after birth. By age 12, he stood at 5 feet 7 inches tall. By junior high, he had reached 6 feet 5 inches. Today, at 40 years old, Kevin stands at an impressive 6 feet 9 inches, and his towering height has become a distinctive part of his identity.
Embracing Life at New Heights
Throughout his life, Kevin has embraced his exceptional stature with humor and confidence. He’s known for making light-hearted jokes when people comment on his height or ask if he plays basketball. Navigating life with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane by his side, Kevin has faced the unique challenges of being exceptionally tall with grace and positivity. A former soldier, his story continues to captivate audiences, showcasing a man who literally and figuratively stands head and shoulders above the rest.
